This organisation was originally formed in 1970. It's working was then confined to the 8 districts of Vidarbha region. The membership was also limited to Secondary School Teachers. Later in 1991 it's scope of work was extended to the whole of Maharashtra and it's membership was thrown open to the whole teaching community. The organisation runs a monthly magazine, " Shikshak Sandesh" . This organization handles academic and professional issues and problems occurring in the Education field.
